A new build of GraphStudio is available. The most important new feature is the ability to use favorite filters.

Hi..Would love to use this. It loads fine in XP and will load an existing graph but when I select “Add Filter” or Ctrl+F I get..
    AppName: graphstudio.exe AppVer: 0.1.8.0 ModName: graphstudio.exe
    ModVer: 0.1.8.0 Offset: 00008879
I have tried without my startup programs and with just basic drivers but it still fails.
    Any ideas? Graphedt works fine.

One added feature would be to generate an xml of the graph as Graphedt8 used to do. I use that whenever I want to see the CLSID of the filters which the graph does not show, or to greate a mediagraph for Zoom Player.

    Some other thoughts.
    To manage filters I use:

    MMCompView by Nir Sofer nirsoft.mirrorz.com
It lists all filters and allows selective disabling by changing a bit in the registry.
I have not found this technique elsewhere but it works great to make a filter unavailable without unregistering or reinstalling or lowering the merit. And reenabling puts the filter back the way it was.

Also DSF Manager http://www.softella.com which lists all filters and allows their merits to be changed or their properties to be adjusted.

It would be really nice to have all this in one package..render a file..see the CLSID’s as well as the filter names..temporarily disable any filter that you don’t want, re-render, add any filter you want, reenable disabled filters and adjust merits as required.

Hi. As for the crash - I suppose this might happen when parsing media types from the registry. I have already fixed several bugs concerning media type parsing but since there’s no documentation on the syntax of binary data it’s quite difficult. If you’d be willing to help me I could make some debug builds which could bring some more insight.

Filter management features are in the todo list. I hope that they will be implemented within the next month.

Thanks for the MMCompView tip. I’ll do some more investigation on how it works.

Re the crash GraphStudio runs fine under my Vista but continues to fail on XP when trying to add filters.
